Very quiet. Based on published specifications, MSWA units have the lowest decibel ratings of any self-contained marine air conditioner in their BTU class.

No. WiFi is completely optional. Every MSWA unit comes with a touchscreen thermostat that runs the unit on its own, with no WiFi or internet connection needed. If you'd like, you can also connect the thermostat to WiFi and control your unit from the app on your phone.

MSWA units come in 110-120V and 208-230V models, from 6,000 to 24,000 BTU. Most US boats run 110-120V shore and generator power. Check your boat's electrical system before ordering, and call us at (800) 724-8071 if you're not sure which you have.

• Make sure the unit's bonding wire is connected to your boat's bonding system, and inspect your zinc anodes regularly, replacing them as they wear. Proper bonding and zincs protect the unit from electrolysis (galvanic corrosion).
• Clean the seawater strainer regularly, and more often in warm or weedy water.
• Clean or replace the return air filter.
• Keep the condensate drain clear.
• Check that water is flowing overboard whenever the unit is running.
• Flush the condenser coil with a marine descaling solution periodically to remove scale and growth. How often depends on your water conditions.

A flow switch is optional added protection that can shut the system down quickly if water flow is lost. It’s commonly used as an extra safeguard for the pump and water circuit.

Yes, through an inverter, but it must be a pure sine wave inverter only. Do not use a modified sine wave inverter. Whether it works for your setup depends on your unit model, inverter capacity, battery bank size, and desired runtime.
